Job summary

Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) is seeking an Infant Toddler Teacher 2 to provide age-appropriate activities in a safe, nurturing Early Childhood program in Florida. You will work with an experienced Teacher and use the HighScope curriculum to support children’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.

The position requires FCCPC Birth–5 years, or CDA/ECPC/CCAC credentials with related experience, and the ability to obtain an Infant Toddler CDA within 260 days if

Qualifications

• FCCPC Birth–5 years is an acceptable minimal credential.
• Infant Toddler National CDA is required or obtainable within defined timeframes.
• ECPC or CCAC certification is acceptable as alternative credentials.
• A minimum of 9 college credits in ECE and 480 hours of experience with infants/toddlers is required.
• Additional training may be needed for the age group served.

Responsibilities

• Work with an experienced Teacher to provide developmentally appropriate activities for young children.
• Use HighScope curriculum to plan environments, activities, and daily routines.
• Observe, screen and assess children to support developmental progress.
• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment.
• Engage with families as a partner in education.

Education

Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC) Birth – 5 years

Infant Toddler National CDA

Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC)

Child Care Apprenticeship Certificate (CCAC)

9 college credits in early childhood education and 3 months of experience in the field (480 hours) in teaching infant and toddler age children
