Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking an Infant and Toddler Occupational Therapist (OT) for an 11-month school-based position in Owings, MD. The role focuses on supporting 0-3 year olds with fine motor, sensory, and functional development within educational settings.

You will conduct assessments, develop IFSPs, provide evidence-based interventions, and collaborate with families and school staff to promote participation in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and support staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
• Dedication to providing culturally competent and student-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and IFSP development.
• Provide evidence-based OT interventions to improve fine motor, sensory processing, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other members of the child's team to support participation in homes and natural environments.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Provide guidance and education to parents, teachers, and staff on strategies to enhance fine motor skills and sensory regulation.
• Maintain accurate records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.
• Stay current with research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
• Participate in IEP and IFSP meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and ethical standards governing OT services.
