Job summary

Easterseals Florida seeks an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist Evaluator to conduct developmental evaluations for birth to age three under the Early Steps program. This role helps families access essential early intervention services.

The position requires driving to Port St. Lucie weekly for clinic evaluations and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, IFSP planning, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 1–2 years of related experience or training.
• Florida Certification as an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist (ITDS).
• Florida Medicaid Therapy and/or Early Intervention Provider Number.
• NPI Number.
• Enrollment in CMS Provider Management System.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental evaluations using the Battelle Developmental Inventory (BDI-2) or other approved tools to determine Early Steps eligibility.
• Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary evaluation team and follow eligibility criteria.
• Serve as a participating member of each child's IFSP Team.
• Recommend appropriate early intervention services based on research, including frequency, intensity, and duration.
• Provide timely, accurate written documentation for each evaluation and service.
• Attend staff meetings, IFSP planning conferences, and trainings.
• Deliver early intervention services to enrolled children.
• Submit clinic and billing documentation promptly.
