Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist (ITDS) Evaluator to conduct developmental evaluations for infants and toddlers birth to age three referred to the Early Steps program under IDEA Part C. This role supports families in accessing needed services.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, determine eligibility, document findings, and contribute to IFSP planning while delivering timely services and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university and 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Florida Certification as an Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist (ITDS).
• Florida Medicaid Therapy and/or Early Intervention Provider Number.
• NPI Number.
• CMS Provider Management System enrollment confirmation.
• Strong documentation, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to teamwork, empathy, and professional conduct.
• Ability to meet driver qualifications (own vehicle, age 21+).

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental evaluations using the Battelle Developmental Inventory (BDI-2) or other approved tools.
• Participate on the multi-disciplinary evaluation team and follow eligibility criteria.
• Serve on each child’s IFSP Team.
• Recommend appropriate early intervention services with defined frequency, intensity, and duration.
• Provide timely, accurate written documentation for evaluations and services.
• Attend staff meetings, IFSP planning conferences, and trainings.
• Deliver early intervention services to enrolled children.
• Submit clinic and billing documentation promptly.
