Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking a compassionate Early Intervention Developmental Evaluator Therapist to join our Early Steps team. You will conduct developmental evaluations for infants and toddlers birth to age three and determine eligibility for services, supporting positive outcomes through individualized plans.

This full-time role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, travel to client locations, and strict HIPAA/compliance adherence. Excellent benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• One to two years of related experience or training in early intervention, pediatrics, developmental services, or a related field.
• Current Florida Professional License as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), as applicable.
• Master's degree required for Speech-Language Pathologist
• Florida Medicaid Provider Number(s) 83# and 81# or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Florida Medicaid Provider Number (Therapy and/or Early Intervention) and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Confirmation of enrollment in the Department of Health (DOH) Provider Management System.
• Strong knowledge of child development and early intervention practices.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret developmental assessments and communicate findings to families and team members.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the service area.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental evaluations using DAYC-2 and other approved tools.
• Participate on a multidisciplinary evaluation team to determine eligibility for Early Steps services.
• Collaborate with families and team members to develop and implement IFSPs.
• Recommend evidence-based early intervention services including frequency and duration.
• Provide direct early intervention services to enrolled children as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and billing information.
• Attend staff meetings, planning conferences, and IFSP meetings.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to state/federal guidelines.
• Safeguard client rights and report incidents or concerns as required by law.
• Travel to client locations as needed to provide services.
