Job summary

Eagle’s Wing Child Care and Education Programs is seeking an assistant teacher to join the infant and toddler teaching team on the UW‑Madison campus. The center offers high‑quality, play‑based learning within a multicultural community and supports a collaborative staff environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with classroom programming, maintaining safety, updating developmental plans, and communicating with families and stakeholders according to guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year working in full day play-based Early Childhood Education environments and completion of the Early Childhood Courses 'Introduction to the Child Care Profession' and 'Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care' OR Successful completion of Associate’s Degree or higher, in Early Childhood Education.
• Training in High Scope, Pyramid Model and/or Conscious Discipline.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with basic technical and administrative classroom support.
• Maintains the safety and the physical well-being of children in a designated classroom.
• Assists with planning and facilitation of classroom programming and coordination according to established curriculums.
• Updates and organizes individualized and developmental educational plans for children.
• Documents effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to relay pertinent information.
