Job summary

University Housing at UW–Madison is seeking an Early Childhood Education Assistant Teacher to join the Eagle’s Wing team on campus. The role supports infants and toddlers in a diverse, play-based learning environment and collaborates with UW student staff to model inclusive, anti-bias education.

The starting wage is $19.00 per hour with benefits, vacation, and holidays; regular full-time hours are Monday–Friday during center hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in full-day play-based early childhood settings or an Associate’s Degree in ECE.
• Completion of introductory child care courses or higher education in ECE.
• Experience supporting infant/toddler programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic technical and administrative classroom support.
• Maintain safety and well-being of children in the classroom.
• Plan and facilitate classroom activities per established curricula.
• Update individualized and developmental education plans for children.
• Document communications with families and stakeholders as required.
