Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Children’s Specialized Hospital seeks an Early Intervention Educator to support infants and toddlers with developmental delays. You will evaluate needs, develop IFSPs, and provide family-centered educational interventions in homes and childcare settings.

The role emphasizes coaching families, collaborating with therapists, and maintaining thorough documentation to meet regulatory requirements across Mercer County.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or related field.
• Certification: Teacher of Students with Disabilities certification or acceptable qualifications.
• License: Valid New Jersey driver’s license.
• Experience: Minimum two years of teaching or pediatric experience with young children.
• Knowledge: Birth to Three standards and IFSP process.

Responsibilities

• Develop IFSPs in collaboration with families and team members.
• Provide direct early intervention services to infants and toddlers with delays.
• Coach parents and caregivers to integrate strategies into daily routines.
• Document evaluations, session notes, and service records for billing and compliance.
• Collaborate with therapists, service coordinators, and other professionals.
• Travel throughout Mercer County to deliver services in homes and centers.
• Participate in performance reviews, trainings, and team meetings.
• Lead and supervise junior staff or CDAs as needed.
