RWJBarnabas Health is hiring an Early Intervention Physical Therapist to screen, evaluate, and provide ongoing assessment for children, developing IFSPs and delivering direct services in natural environments. The role includes coaching families, problem-solving progress with the team, and planning transitions for individual children.

The candidate should have a NJ Licensed Physical Therapist credential, at least 2 years with young children with disabilities, a valid NJ driver’s license, and

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• NJ Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Valid NJ Driver’s license and required insurance.
• At least 2 years of experience working with young children with disabilities.
• Targeted Evaluation (TET) team experience with children ages 0‑5.
• Knowledge of early intervention for children with developmental delays.

Responsibilities

• Performs developmental evaluations in the child’s natural environment.
• Communicates effectively with families and team members.
• Supports families in integrating strategies into daily routines.
• Develops a transition/discharge plan with the family and team.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows departmental procedures.
• Documents session notes and billing information as required.
