Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Children's Specialized Hospital is seeking an Early Intervention Educator to support infants and toddlers with developmental delays in Mercer and Middlesex Counties. You will assess development, plan IFSPs, and deliver family-centered interventions in homes and community settings.

You will coach families, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure documentation and billing accuracy while traveling across assigned communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Teacher certification preferred; relevant preschool experience considered.
• Two years of teaching experience with young children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screenings and evaluations in children's natural environments.
• Develop and update Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with families and teams.
• Provide direct early intervention services across developmental domains.
• Coach families by modeling evidence-based strategies for daily routines.
• Collaborate with therapists, educators, and service coordinators to coordinate services.
• Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory and billing purposes.
• Travel throughout Mercer and Middlesex Counties to deliver services.
