Job summary

Save the Children in North Carolina seeks an Early Head Start Teacher to create and implement individualized and group lesson plans for infants and toddlers, fostering social-emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

You will collaborate with a co-teacher to lead developmentally appropriate activities, ensure safety, maintain records, and engage families to support child progress and program quality. A CDA or associate degree is required; bilinguals are a plus.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with teams and families.
• Must maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Participation in professional development including basic first aid certification as required by licensing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans for infants and toddlers.
• Lead classroom activities and supervise children with a co-teacher.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of child information.
• Engage families and conduct conferences and home visits to discuss child progress.
• Ensure safety and compliance with Head Start and program policies.
