Job summary

AVANCE San Antonio is seeking a Child Development Teacher to care for infants and toddlers with specialized knowledge of early development. The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and nurturing family partnerships in a center-based program.

The ideal candidate will hold an Infant and Toddler CDA and have or pursue an Associate/Bachelor in Early Childhood Education with relevant credits, plus some licensed childcare experience. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting young learners.

Qualifications

• Infant and Toddler CDA is required.
• Strong focus on safety, confidentiality, and supervision.
• Experience with early childhood assessment and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and models the organization’s Core Values.
• Ensures safety and well-being of children while under AVANCE's care.
• Follows program confidentiality policies regarding information about children, families and staff.
• Maintains warm, nurturing relationships with children and families.
• Develops weekly lesson plans and age-appropriate activities.
• Performs daily health, hygiene, and classroom maintenance tasks.
