Qualifications

• Infant and Toddler CDA is required.
• Preferred: college degree with focus in Early Childhood Education.
• Six months of experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Must follow safety, confidentiality, and licensing standards.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and models the organization’s Core Values.
• Ensures safety and well-being of children in AVANCE’s care.
• Maintains program confidentiality for children, families, and staff.
• Ensures no child is left alone or unsupervised.
• Uses positive guidance and avoids corporal punishment, humiliation, or deprivation of basic needs.
• Administers medications following labels, doses and storage directions; documents administration.
• Fosters healthy family relationships and parent involvement.
• Provides developmentally appropriate activities to support curiosity and problem-solving.
• Maintains hygiene and reports unsafe conditions or equipment.
