Job summary

Responsibilities include planning lessons, supporting development, and ensuring a safe, inclusive classroom aligned with CHS and MHS mission. ECE credentials preferred, with PA licensing awareness.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
• List C certification in PA ECE Career Pathway preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar lead teacher role.
• Knowledge of NAEYC standards and PBIS strategies preferred.
• Comfort with technology including MS Office; willing to learn.
• Strong engagement with families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement classroom lesson plans linked to child outcomes, program development, and classroom routines/schedules.
• Enhance social, emotional, and cognitive development with age-appropriate activities.
• Supervise and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for children.
• Collaborate with families and rotate materials for activities.
• Support children’s self-help skills and independence.
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Communicate with families through multiple channels.
• Maintain developmental profiles and document progress.
• Lead and coach Associate and Assistant Teachers in the classroom.
