Job summary

Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning in Hershey, PA is seeking an Infant/Todd Associate Teacher to support Lead/Assistant Teachers in delivering the early childhood curriculum and assessments. Qualifications

• Current Child Development Associate credential OR at least 12 college credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or early childhood special education; PA ECE Career Pathway level A or B preferred
• 1-3 years experience working with children birth to 5 years/early childhood education
• Familiar with NAEYC standards and PBIS strategies preferred
• Comfortable with technology including MS Office Suite and/or willingness to learn
• Able to engage with parents/caregivers and discuss concerns when necessary

Responsibilities

• Implement classroom lesson plans linked to child outcomes and routines
• Participate in classroom coaching cycles
• Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities
• Supervise and ensure a safe, nurturing environment
• Observe, assess, and document each child’s health, skills, behavior, and development
• Assist Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily education program
• Maintain classroom management, organization, cleanliness, and safety
• Schedule family/staff conferences and conduct meetings with Lead Teacher
• Maintain daily communication with families using multiple channels
• Complete program documentation and attendance/meal reports
• Adhere to all state licensing requirements and be a role model for students
