Job summary

Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning (CHS Elizabethtown) is seeking a Preschool Associate Teacher to support the Lead and Assistant Teachers in delivering CHS’s early childhood curriculum and family engagement. The position is full-time in Elizabethtown, PA, with a salary range based on experience and a 01/05/2027 start date.

The role includes Seeds to Lead onboarding, collaboration with families, and day-to-day classroom operations as the center opens in Summer 2027.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or 12 college credits in early childhood education; PA pathway preferred.
• 1–3 years experience with birth-5 years in ECE.
• Familiar with PBIS and inquiry-based learning.
• Engages effectively with families and caregivers.
• Proficient with MS Office; willing to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement classroom lesson plans linked to outcomes and schedules.
• Participate in classroom coaching cycles.
• Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development with age-appropriate activities.
• Supervise and provide a safe, nurturing environment for children.
• Observe and document each child's health, skills, and development.
• Assist Lead Teacher when absent and support daily classroom management.
• Maintain daily attendance and meal participation reports.
• Communicate with families via multiple channels.
• Ensure licensing and safety compliance.
