Job summary

The Learning Experience in Enfield, CT is seeking a caring, energetic Infant Teacher to create a safe, nurturing classroom and support early development. You will implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum and build strong relationships with families.

Ideal candidates have 6 months+ of infant childcare experience, an ECE-related degree (or HS diploma with relevant experience), and a willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification. Join a collaborative team focused on growth and safety.

Qualifications

• 6 months of professional childcare or teaching with infants (1 year preferred).
• Associate degree in ECE or related field preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and infant milestones.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, organizational and classroom management.
• Must meet all Connecticut state requirements for an Early Childhood Teacher position.
• Positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment for infants.
• Implement our fun, hands-on L.E.A.P. Curriculum to support early learning and development.
• Build strong relationships with families by sharing daily updates, photos, and milestones.
• Collaborate with other teachers and center leadership to maintain a positive and supportive workplace.
• Model best practices in early childhood education and help guide assistant teachers in the classroom.
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing and safety standards.
