Job summary

SEMHA seeks an Infant Safe Sleep Program Assistant to support the Wayne County ISS Coordinator. Responsibilities include handling administrative tasks, coordinating events, maintaining records, and ensuring client confidentiality in an office-heavy role with occasional travel to outreach events.

The ideal candidate will complete training promptly, collaborate across departments, and help participants access program resources while maintaining data accuracy and program quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
• Six months to one year of documented program support experience.
• Bilingual in English, Arabic or Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidential information per policy.
• Plan and implement programs; manage schedules and records.
• Liaise between participants and management for support.
• Organize events and coordinate supplies for the program.
• Collect data related to program performance and reports.
• Assist participants with navigating program resources.
• Design educational materials using cultural humility.
• Make referrals and follow-up lists as requested.
• Document activities and complete reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in emergency preparedness activities.
