Job summary

Southeastern Michigan Health Association (SEMHA) seeks an Infant Safe Sleep Program Assistant to support the Wayne County ISS Coordinator. The role includes administrative tasks, field outreach, and record-keeping to ensure smooth program operations.

Ideal candidates will work primarily in an office setting with some travel for events. Training requests should be completed promptly to support program goals and community outreach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate degree in a related field is preferred.
• Six months to one year of documented program support experience is required.
• Bilingual in English, Arabic or Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidential information according to policy.
• Plan and implement programs by managing schedules and records.
• Serve as liaison between participants and management for effective communication.
• Organize events and coordinate program activities, including supplies.
• Collect data on program performance and maintain accurate reports.
• Provide direct assistance to participants navigating resources and activities.
• Assist in designing educational materials with cultural humility principles.
• Make referrals and generate follow-up lists as requested.
• Document activities and complete timely reports.
• Participate in emergency preparedness activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
