Job summary

The Learning Experience – Cimarron Hills is seeking an Infant Teacher to provide nurturing, responsive care for babies from 6 weeks to 18 months, guiding early development in a safe, engaging classroom.

You will lead routines, partner with families, and follow the LEAP Curriculum®. A minimum age of 18, valid infant/toddler credentials, and related experience are preferred; a signing bonus is available.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 or older.
  • Certificate in Infant and Toddler care with 30 semester hours in infant/toddler development.
  • CDA Infant/Toddler or Colorado Shines Credential Level II+ is required or in progress.
  • Experience with infants and developmentally appropriate practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor teachers in your classroom; provide feedback.
  • Manage a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Build relationships with families and communicate regularly about children’s progress.
  • Implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum with infants and toddlers.
  • Support enrollment and engagement goals with center staff.

Salary & Benefits

$20.00–$23.00/hour, with a clear credential structure:

  • $20–$21: PDIS Level 2 / ECT-qualified with solid infant experience
  • $21–$22: Strong infant experience + higher credential/education
  • $22–$23: INS-qualified, CDA Infant/Toddler, higher PDIS credential, significant infant experience, or demonstrated classroom leadership

Hiring Bonus: $1000 (Specific Positions, Credentials PDIS Credential 3.0 Level 2 or higher, Schedule Availability (Mid and Closing Shifts).

Infant Teachers at The Learning Experience are trained and have a high expectation to provide premiere care to our little learners aged 6 weeks to 18 months old.

Our Infant Teachers provide nurturing, responsive care while creating a safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest learners. We are looking for a dependable educator who understands infant development, safe sleep, responsive caregiving, classroom routines and the importance of building strong relationships with families.

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
  • Responsible for overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning
  • Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with Infant and Toddler children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
  • Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
  • Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
    Ability to move, lift, and assist children (e.g., up to 40 lbs).
Qualifications
  • Is at least Eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Hold a certificate in Infant and Toddler care from a regionally accredited college or university with completion of a minimum of 30 semester hours in the development and care of infants and toddlers in a group setting.
  • Or an adult who is currently certified as a Child Development Associate (CDA) and has completed the Department approved expanding quality in infant and toddler development course of training.
  • Or a current Early Childhood Professional Credential Version 3.0 Level II or higher, as determined by the Colorado Shines.
  • Has completed one three-semester-hour class in infant/toddler development; or,
  • Has completed the Department-approved “Expanding Quality in Infant and Toddler Development” and holds twelve months of verifiable full-day experience working with Infants and/or Toddlers.
