Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Part-Time Food Prep Technician at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. You will prepare and deliver patient feedings, manage feeding orders, label human milk and formulas, and ensure accuracy and sanitation in a fast-paced hospital kitchen.

Responsibilities include maintaining temperature logs, following HACCP guidelines, and collaborating with dietitians, nurses, and families. Flexibility for weekend on-call shifts and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit.
• Proficient math skills with focus on detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer operation and common software use.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One year experience in a hospital culinary program, diet office, or medical field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain friendly attitude toward internal and external customers and coworkers.
• Prepare, portion, and deliver patient feedings per orders.
• Maintain feeding orders in computer system and prepare non-ready-to-feed formulas.
• Transcribe feeding order information to labels.
• Report discrepancies in feeding orders to manager or RDN.
• Communicate issues with feeding orders to care teams.
• Label and store expressed human milk properly.
• Ensure accurate preparation and labeling of human milk/pasteurized donor milk feedings.
