Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a PRN Perinatal Feeding Technician at St George Regional Hospital to prepare and deliver human milk, pasteurized donor milk, and infant formulas. You will interact with families and care teams, maintain safety and sanitation, and ensure accurate feeding orders and labeling.

The role requires weekend/evening availability, adherence to HIPAA, HACCP guidelines, and continuous documentation of temperatures and feeding records.

Qualifications

  • Food Handlers Permit is required.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • One-year experience in a hospital culinary program, diet office, or medical field is required.
  • Strong math, attention to detail, and accuracy are expected.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer operation and commonly used software proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, portions, and delivers patient feedings per orders and RD guidance.
  • Maintains feeding orders in the computer system and labels feeds correctly.
  • Transcribes feeding order information to labels and tracks inventory.
  • Keeps sanitation and safety standards; follows HACCP and health regulations.
  • Communicates with management, care areas, and RDNs to resolve feeding issues.
  • Maintains temperature logs and records for milk, formula, and supplies.
  • Trains staff on feeding preparation and proper handling techniques.
