Job summary

Central-Jersey-Family-Health-Consortiu is seeking an Early Childhood Specialist to partner with families and local agencies to support infants and toddlers from birth to three years. The role focuses on connecting families with services, promoting developmental screening, and coordinating care across multiple partners.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in social work or related field, experience in maternal-child health, and an Infant Mental Health Endorsement (IMH-E) or pursuing it.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred in social work or related field; Bachelor's acceptable with credentials.
• Infant Mental Health Endorsed (IMH-E) or pursuing preferred.
• At least two years of maternal-child health or related experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• System Collaboration – link families to services and partners across local resources.
• Developmental Health Promotion – promote screening and follow-up with families.
• Family Care Plans – develop plans for substance-exposed newborns and connect to supports.
• Family Support & Care Coordination – maintain caseload and provide referrals and follow-up.
• Oversight and Technical Support – strengthen local infrastructure and coordination.
• Reporting and Data Collection, CQI and Evaluation – submit progress reports and participate in CQI activities.
