Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking an Infant Development Specialist to implement and coordinate family-centered, developmentally supportive programs for infants at risk for neurodevelopmental delay, ensuring integration of services from birth through discharge.

The role collaborates with the health care team to develop care goals, assess developmental needs, plan and evaluate care strategies, and contribute to staff education and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Coordination of Developmental Care Strategies: Collaborates with the health care team to develop goals for care strategies to contribute positively to coordination of treatment objectives.
• Provides assessment of developmental needs of ill and preterm infants and their families. Assists families and staff to plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate effectiveness of care strategies.
• Regularly screens infants and families for developmental needs. Works collaboratively with members of patient care team and in partnership with parents to formulate individualized, developmentally supportive care strategies.
