Child Development Schools in Ringgold, GA is seeking an Assistant Teacher for the Infant Classroom. You will support the Lead Teacher with age-appropriate activities and help create a welcoming, safe learning environment for the youngest students.

The role emphasizes strong communication with families, documentation, and adherence to licensing standards. Entry-level friendly, with a path to professional development through CDS.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and safety.
• Strong communication and family relationships.
• Physical ability to meet demands of working with young children.
• ECE degree or coursework is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
