The ideal candidate has experience with young children, some early education training, and strong communication skills to collaborate with a team and families.

• Work to improve teaching and professional skills by attending workshops and trainings.

About This Role

Ascension Episcopal Day School is currently accepting applications for a part-time Afternoon Assistant Teacher in our Infant classroom.

Work hours are 12:30 to 6:00.

Ascension Day School serves pre-school children ages 6 weeks thru 5 years. Our program is designed to cultivate the cognitive, social, physical, creative, and emotional development of each child in a caring educational environment. The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for helping the Lead Teacher develop and maintain a nurturing and creative learning community for 8 babies. This is a school not a daycare and expectations for quality interactions between teachers and students is high.

Starting pay is $15.25 per hour.

What You'll Do

• Actively engage with students in their play and activities.
