D&H Distributing Co. seeks a Director of Distribution for our fully onsite Indianapolis DC in the Whiteland area. You will oversee all distribution center operations, drive safety and quality, and lead annual budgeting while guiding DC leadership and co-owners.

The role requires strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of ISO and continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer expectations and budgets.

Competenze

• BA/BS in Logistics/Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ten (10) years of experience managing logistics contracts.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management role in a fast-paced, large volume, high-intensity complex logistics environment, with strong focus on meeting/exceeding measurable metrics.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple levels of management/direct reports and a large hourly workforce in a logistics and/or material distribution environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively at multiple levels with strong relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to present information to groups of managers, clients, teammates, customers, and the public.
• Mentoring and developing promotability with direct reports and subordinates.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a changing priority environment.

Mansioni

• Directing and implementing all policy and procedures for operations with Managers and co-owners.
• Ensure co-owners adhere to safety and quality procedures and comply with regulations.
• Establish goals and objectives for the DC and monitor achievement.
• Lead development of annual DC budgets and improve performance and cost take-out.
• Monitor and report on status and operating procedures for warehouse operations.
• Drive ISO certification efforts.
• Conduct root cause analysis and action plans for underperforming metrics.
• Oversee start-up and movement of operations cost-effectively.
• Collaborate to develop a Continuous Improvement culture with cost initiatives.
• Develop and implement communication programs with co-owners.
• Maintain relationships with other DCs and Corporate; respond to customer inquiries.
• Ensure timely performance reviews and leadership development.
