Job summary
Celanese is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Process Controls & Automation to provide strategic leadership for the company's manufacturing network in the USA. You will advance automation capabilities, establish standards, and drive DCS/PLC upgrade programs to improve safety, reliability, and performance.
The role leads a global team of process control experts, guides modernization, and partners with site leadership to execute the global process control strategy.
Qualifications
- 15+ years in chemical, petrochemical, or related process manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of DCS and industrial automation technologies.
- Experience implementing process control systems including testing and startup support.
- Ability to lead technical teams and communicate with senior leadership.
- Financial acumen to evaluate technology investments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and drive the global Process Control Roadmap.
- Coordinate upgrades across Celanese sites for DCS, PLC, and control systems.
- Lead modernization efforts and Industry 4.0 digitalization initiatives.
- Provide strategic direction for control system upgrades and alarm management.
- Lead a global team of Basic Process Control System experts.
- Build relationships with suppliers and drive capital project alignment.
- Apply expertise to evaluate upgrade solutions and deployments.
