Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Welder - General Maintenance Service Technician for the Day shift to support production equipment repair and fabrication. You will weld, fabricate, read blueprints, and maintain machinery alongside a skilled maintenance team in a manufacturing facility.

Ideal candidates have industrial welding experience (TIG, MIG, Stick), fabrication skills, and the ability to interpret drawings. Local Michigan candidates preferred; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial welding and fabrication in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and maintenance drawings.
• Proficiency with TIG, MIG and Stick welding and related fabrication tasks.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of welding safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding repairs on production equipment and structural components.
• Fabricate replacement parts and modify components to improve reliability.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols; follow maintenance work orders.
• Operate hand and power tools, plasma cutters, torches, grinders and saws safely.
• Respond to equipment failures to minimize downtime and support uptime.
