Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a skilled Fabricator to weld and repair parts, contributing to peak efficiency before, during, and after production. You will fabricate new parts and assist maintenance across the facility using GTAW, SMAW, and GMAW welding processes.

The role requires reading blueprints, using hand tools, and a team-oriented approach with overtime availability. Expect 12-hour shifts in a busy production environment with exposure to machinery and related hazards.

Qualifications

• Two-year fabrication or welding program or 2 years verifiable experience.
• GTAW experience with stainless steel preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret blue prints including rough drafts.
• Able to use hand tools and trade type tools.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Maintenance Management assessment, and referral required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate equipment malfunctions and corrective actions through appropriate channels.
• Perform essential duties within GMP, HAACP, PSM, and safety guidelines (LOTO).
• Assist maintenance team with rebuilds, installs and projects.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork and forms.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect assigned equipment.
• Complete welding projects using various ferrous materials and inspect welds.
