Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment and assets across a feed mill facility. The role requires working in dusty, cold, damp, or hot environments, physical tasks, and the ability to read and write to follow preventive maintenance programs.

Candidates must have basic math and computer skills, data entry proficiency with handheld devices, and the ability to operate hand and power tools, saws, drills, grinders, and ladders.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months.
• Three to five years related experience with at least three years in an industrial setting/relevant work experience.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent to include Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred, or combination of equivalent experience and education in lieu of a Diploma.
• Must be able to obtain powered industrial truck certification (PIT).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets while upholding safety and Tyson policies.
• Enter data into handheld computer system; communicate information accurately.
• Work with contractors to ensure machines are properly utilized and maintained.
• Set up, operate, and shut down equipment as trained; perform physical tasks as required.
