Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Entry Level Industrial Wastewater Process Engineer intern to join our Resilience Environment team. The role involves assisting with front end concept development, detailed design of industrial wastewater treatment systems, and sustainability projects across multiple U.S.

locations. You’ll contribute to data management, reporting, and the production of design drawings as part of a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with water and wastewater treatment process design and solution development.
• Perform process, mechanical, and hydraulic calculations (pump, tank, and equipment sizing).
• Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Evaluate treatment alternatives through feasibility studies and data analysis.
• Collect, compile, analyze, and QA/QC technical and operational data.
• Prepare technical reports, permit applications, memos, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
• Conduct site visits, facility assessments, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Support pilot testing, bench-scale testing, and water quality evaluations.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget, schedule, and travel requirements.

Education

Pursuing Environmental or Chemical Engineering degree
