Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Entry Level Industrial Wastewater Process Engineer to join our Resilience Environment team in multiple U.S. locations.

This internship will apply your technical knowledge of wastewater treatment to assist project teams on industrial projects focusing on front end treatment concepts, detailed design, water conservation, and sustainability. You will participate in design calculations, data analysis, and the preparation of technical reports, while gaining exposure to project

Qualifications

• You must be enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong interest in wastewater treatment and sustainability concepts.
• Ability to assist design teams with calculations and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with water and wastewater treatment process design and solution development.
• Perform process, mechanical, and hydraulic calculations (pump, tank, and equipment sizing).
• Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Evaluate treatment alternatives through feasibility studies and data analysis.
• Collect, compile, analyze, and QA/QC technical and operational data.
• Prepare technical reports, permits, memos, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
• Conduct site visits, facility assessments, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Support pilot testing, bench-scale testing, and water quality evaluations.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget, schedule, and travel requirements.
