Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Entry Level Industrial Wastewater Process Engineer to join the Resilience Environment team in Raleigh, NC or other U.S. locations.

The internship focuses on front end treatment, detailed design of industrial wastewater systems, water conservation, and sustainability for industrial clients. This role offers rapid advancement into project management, client development, and technical direction.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Junior or senior standing in a related program.
• Interest in wastewater treatment and industrial processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with water and wastewater treatment process design and solution development.
• Perform process, mechanical, and hydraulic calculations (pump, tank, and equipment sizing).
• Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Evaluate treatment alternatives via feasibility studies and data analysis.
• Collect, analyze, and QA/QC technical and operational data.
• Prepare technical reports, memos, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
• Conduct site visits, facility assessments, troubleshooting, and optimization.
