Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in the Rochester, MN area is seeking an Applications Engineer & Technical Account Manager to deliver engineering solutions in industrial water treatment. This full-time field role covers SE Minnesota with daily travel, serving as a technical consultant and account manager for complex capital equipment projects.

You will leverage 3+ years of B2B technical sales or consultative engineering experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and deep domain knowledge of water

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental strongly preferred).
• 3+ years of B2B technical sales or applications experience in industrial markets.
• Industrial water treatment, boilers, cooling towers, or fluid handling systems knowledge.
• Willingness to travel daily within SE Minnesota and surrounding region.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical consultant and Territory Manager across SE Minnesota.
• Conduct technical field assessments at plants and facilities.
• Evaluate water chemistry and system specs to design custom treatment systems.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to engineer upgrades and protocols.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and account growth.
• Maintain travel schedule with on-site reviews across the territory.
• Coordinate with internal teams to optimize equipment configurations.
