H. T. PROF Group is seeking anApplications Engineer & Technical Account Manager for our Industrial Water Treatment division in Southeast Minnesota.

This direct-hire role requires a strong technical sales background and hands-on engineering consultative skills to serve plant managers and engineers across the territory. The position offers a base salary with uncapped commissions, comprehensive benefits, and travel up to 3+ hours driving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental strongly preferred).
• 3+ years of B2B technical sales / applications experience in heavy industrial markets.

Responsibilities

• Drive Territory Strategy: act as primary technical consultant and Territory Manager across SE Minnesota.
• Deliver Consultative Engineering Solutions: perform field assessments for plants and industrial sites.
• Analyze Water Chemistry & System Specs: evaluate metrics and design automated treatment systems.
• Engage Plant Leadership: work with facility managers and engineers to implement upgrades.
• Manage the Full Sales Cycle: from prospecting to proposals, presentations, and closing.
• Execute Daily Field Travel: maintain a daily driving schedule across SE Minnesota.
• Collaborate with Internal Teams: coordinate with applications staff to optimize configurations.
