Job summary

Parametrix seeks an Industrial Wastewater Engineer to support the Greater Washington EP&C team. You will work on planning, permitting, design, and compliance of wastewater systems, focusing on NPDES and WPCF permits, with a flexible hybrid/remote schedule in Washington.

You will mentor junior staff, interpret regulations, develop compliance documents, and collaborate with clients and agencies to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• PE license in WA or OR or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• 5+ years of experience designing and permitting wastewater projects.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret regulatory requirements and develop policies, plans, and procedures for compliance.
• Prepare permit applications, renewals, modifications, and regulatory reports.
• Develop water balances and process diagrams for wastewater systems.
• Support planning, design, rehabilitation, and improvement of municipal and industrial systems.
• Mentor developing engineers in permitting and compliance.
