Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Back Plant Operator in Newark, NJ to manage the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation of industrial systems in our disposal process.

You will perform equipment inspections, troubleshoot issues, and complete routine checks while adhering to facility procedures and safety protocols. This role requires a valid driver's license, experience with heavy industrial gear, and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must have experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned operational tasks and inspections utilizing various types of designated industrial equipment and hand/power tools.
• Complete routine inspections of assigned equipment and document details in accordance with facility procedures.
• Troubleshoot assigned equipment and responsibly report issues and repair requests utilizing defined work order processes and procedures.
• Utilize weekly activity books and critical items checklist to perform operational and equipment related function checks.
• Safely perform lock-out/tag-out processes of equipment in support of assigned maintenance teams.
• Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
