Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Project Development Manager to lead the sales development process for large modernization and upgrade projects in industrial steam turbines. You will identify opportunities, engage key decision-makers, and drive the sales cycle from opportunity development through project handoff.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in rotating equipment sales, strong turbine knowledge, and proven ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder programs, with travel up to 75% globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years in rotating equipment, industrial equipment sales, business development, or capital projects.
• Strong experience with industrial steam turbines, including performance and applications.
• Proven ability to identify and develop business opportunities within multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of strategies to identify, qualify, and win large industrial steam turbine projects.
• Develop value propositions and business cases addressing customer needs while supporting growth.
• Manage the sales pipeline, including forecasting and maintaining forecast accuracy.
• Build and strengthen customer relationships through regular engagement.
• Collaborate with commercial, engineering, and project teams for smooth handoff from award to kickoff.
• Achieve sales, bookings, and revenue targets while adhering to company policies.
