Job summary
Siemens Energy is seeking an Applications Engineer (AE) for Modernizations and Upgrades to develop technical solutions for package and controls upgrades on Aeroderivative Gas Turbine fleets. You will validate requirements, craft solutions, assess risks, and coordinate with stakeholders throughout the bid process and handover to execution.
You will travel to sites, interact with customers and internal teams, and drive continuous improvement in the bid and project support functions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of controls or mechanical engineering experience.
- Experience interpreting engineering/equipment specifications.
- Ability to convey complex engineering concepts clearly.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience with aeroderivative gas turbines is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Define overall technical scope for upgrades (engine, package, controls).
- Develop cost budgets for technical scopes; obtain vendor quotes.
- Identify technical risks and mitigation plans for bid phase.
- Provide technical comments to customers and support clarifications.
- Travel to customer sites for surveys and meetings; participate in safety discussions.
- Drive improvement initiatives within the team.
