Job summary

Port Townsend Paper Corporation is seeking a Training Coordinator to oversee safety and development programs in a pulp mill. The role focuses on designing and delivering training, onboarding new hires, and ensuring regulatory compliance across environmental and safety standards.

You will work closely with department managers and the Safety and Human Resources teams to schedule trainings, track progress, and assess impact on performance and safety metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent manufacturing training experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and regulatory compliance.
• Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement training programs aligned with safety and operational standards.
• Facilitate onboarding and department orientation with a focus on safety and procedures.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and identify skill gaps for corrective actions.
• Maintain records of training activities, certifications, and compliance status.
• Collaborate with managers to schedule trainings around staffing and production needs.
• Coordinate equipment and process training for pulp mill operations.
