Job summary

Port Townsend Paper Company is seeking a Training Coordinator to lead training and development programs for mill employees, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You will design and update training materials, facilitate onboarding, coordinate scheduling around operations, and collaborate with department managers to identify and address skill gaps while maintaining comprehensive training records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience in manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in training coordination, preferably in manufacturing or paper mill environments.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to design and deliver effective training programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Ensure training programs align with safety standards, quality assurance, environmental guidelines, and mill operational procedures.
• Update and maintain training materials to reflect changes in mill processes or regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate onboarding for new hires, ensuring safety, operational and procedural training.
• Conduct orientation sessions for new employees, familiarizing them with mill operations, policies and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of training activities, certifications, and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and priorities.
