Job summary

Port Townsend Paper Company is seeking a Training Coordinator to oversee the development and delivery of training for a pulp mill workforce. The role focuses on safety, quality, and operational proficiency, ensuring programs reflect evolving regulatory requirements and mill procedures.

You will collaborate with Safety and Human Resources to implement training, monitor effectiveness, and maintain certification records, supporting continuous improvement and employee development within a demanding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred or equivalent work experience in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in training coordination, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or paper mill environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to design and deliver effective training programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Ensure training aligns with safety, quality, environmental guidelines, and mill procedures.
• Onboard and orient new hires with safety, operational and procedural training.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and address skill gaps with corrective programs.
• Coordinate training around schedules and plant operations; maintain records and certifications.
• Collaborate with Safety and Human Resources on development and performance reviews.
