Job summary

DXP is seeking a Sales Professional to develop strategic plans, forecast accounts, and grow a sales territory across industrial customers. You will build relationships with decision makers, deliver proactive solutions, and exceed sales goals through technically informed selling and customer collaboration.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel locally and overnight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience in technical sales.
• Proficient with MS Office programs.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Sell company products requiring technical expertise and support for installation and use.
• Develop sales and business plans to grow the assigned territory and enter new markets.
• Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
• Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and system requirements.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospects.
• Arrange demonstrations or trial installations of equipment.
• Create sales or service contracts and respond to proposals for customer requirements.
• Research and identify potential customers and provide technical support as needed.
• Document cost savings and improvements to lower costs or increase production.
• Diagnose installed equipment issues and provide post-sale support.
• Travel locally and overnight as required.
