Job summary

nVent is opening a new manufacturing facility in Lexington, MN to support expanding Data Solutions. This position is based in Lexington, MN with onboarding at Blaine or Anoka until the Lexington site opens.

You will lead the design and optimization of manufacturing systems to improve throughput, capacity, lead time, and efficiency, and drive Lean improvements across cross-functional teams. CAD and simulation experience, plus Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, are highly valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
7+ years of progressive experience leading complex manufacturing, material flow, or facility optimization initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable operational improvements through Lean manufacturing, process improvement, and systems optimization.
Experience using CAD tools to develop and evaluate facility layouts and material flow concepts.
Experience using production simulation software preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt strongly preferred; PMP certification is a plus.
Advanced Excel skills; SQL experience is a nice-to-have.
Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to support data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and optimization of manufacturing systems to improve throughput, capacity utilization, lead time, and operational efficiency.
Drive safety, productivity, and flow efficiency through data-driven analysis and Lean practices.
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve material flow, cycle time, and WIP reduction.
Lead initiatives to reduce costs, improve resource utilization, and deliver productivity improvements.
Conduct time studies, capacity modeling, and simulation to optimize system performance.
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve performance, quality, and process capability.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and track KPI impact across safety, quality, cost, productivity, and cycle time.
Develop capacity models and resource plans to align demand with production capability.
