Kiewit Engineering Group, Inc in the United States is seeking a mid-level to lead-aspiring Structural Engineer to design and manage structural systems for industrial projects across North America. You will lead teams, coordinate with multi-disciplinary groups, and drive designs from concept through construction.

The role emphasizes safety, buildability, and cost/schedule impact, with extensive collaboration across design and construction teams.

Formación

• ABET-accredited degree in structural/civil/architectural engineering; master's coursework preferred.
• PE license or in process; willing to obtain within 18 months.
• 3+ years in structural engineering for steel and concrete; experience in industrial/manufacturing/water/wastewater or buildings; EPC/design-build preferred; modular design highly desired.

Responsabilidades

• Perform detailed structural design for moderate to large industrial projects, including research, system selection, detailed analysis, and preparation of engineering drawings for steel and concrete structures.
• Uphold department and industry standards while developing structural calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance.
• Utilize BIM to develop plans, models, drawings, and detailed structural documentation for coordination and constructability.
• Integrate EPC and contractual requirements into the structural design approach to align with project goals.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners, including cross-disciplinary teams, construction personnel, vendors, fabricators, and owners to resolve structural issues.
• Identify and recommend improvements to standards, workflows, and processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency across the department.
