Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineers is seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our Design Engineering team. You will contribute to innovative design solutions, lead project objectives, and mentor engineers across multiple assignments.

The role supports development of plans, reviews structural calculations, and coordinates with construction crews to ensure safe, cost-effective outcomes across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 10–20 years of relevant experience in Industrial or Power Generation.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating with multi-discipline groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develops and checks designs and calculations for complex projects.
• Mentors less-experienced engineers and reviews their work.
• Leads project objectives and manages multiple assignments.
• Ensures designs comply with codes and standards and stay within budget.
