Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a mid‑level Building Structural Engineer to independently perform analysis, design, and detailing for mid to large vertical construction. You will apply advanced engineering judgment, develop refined models, and run simulations to validate performance under diverse loads, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
3 years Structural Engineering experience in design and analysis for facilities/buildings with wind and seismic design experience.
Knowledge of national building and construction codes (ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS, etc.).
Experience with Design/Build, EPC or similar delivery projects is a plus.
Proficient in structural analysis tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, SAFE or RISA.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced structural design and analysis for mid-sized and large projects with minimal supervision.
Apply knowledge of building codes and structural behavior to perform advanced structural analysis.
Produce designs, plans, profiles, specifications, and construction documents.
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure cohesive and innovative design solutions.
Travel as needed; mentor junior engineers and support site construction as required.
