Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Industrial Center of Excellence. You will design and deliver complex industrial projects, develop construction documents, perform structural analysis, and collaborate across disciplines.

The role can be based in Boise or Madison, with a flexible location. You will work with BIM tools like Revit, coordinate with architects and other engineers, and support permitting and client meetings to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in structural design for facilities or industrial projects.
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software including STAAD, RAM and Risa, as well as AutoCAD, Revit, and 2D drafting.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards; strong technical writing and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems for building cores, shells, and foundations including steel, concrete, and masonry.
• Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with applicable codes (IBC, ACI, AISC).
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines to integrate structural design into overall facility plans.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support.
• Perform load calculations, seismic/wind analysis, and evaluate structural integrity for retrofits and expansions.
• Support permitting and regulatory compliance; attend client and design coordination meetings.
