Job summary

BiS seeks a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to guide an elite engineering team building industrial software on Ignition and related platforms. You will shape architecture, drive product quality, and deliver customer solutions on time and within budget.

You will mentor engineers, establish standards, review architectures, and translate customer needs into scalable, robust software while working closely with leadership to advance BiS platform and manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams or serving as technical lead.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong software architecture experience and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proven leadership experience and organizational/project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software engineering team through technical direction and mentorship.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.
• Perform architecture reviews and design reviews.
• Guide technical decision‑making across multiple customer projects.
• Promote software reliability, simplicity, maintainability, and scalability.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level developers through coaching and code reviews.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Lead architecture discussions and drive product innovation initiatives.
